My name is Denise Ricciardi and my husband Giorgio and I have lived in Bedford for 23 years. We have one son Alessandro who graduated from Bedford High School.

Ever since we moved here, I have been involved in many community service activities. These include raising money for the playground at Memorial School, helping to find ways to preserve and promote Olde Towne Day, working for Parks and Recreation teaching cooking classes and volunteering to help the schools. I was responsible for doing a fund drive for the children’s library, and many other town activities.

I also served on the Conservation Commission for a number of years.

You may have heard of me as the voice regarding the placement of cell towers in residential backyards. This is a battle I fought not only personally, but for the protection and safety of the Riddlebrook school children, as well as the residents of Greenfield Farms and Tirell Road, who may have been impacted. During that time, I held informational meetings to inform and educate the residents of Bedford. I then traveled to Washington DC to speak on this very issue.

I have always followed town issues by attending numerous Town Council, Planning, and Zoning Board meetings.

As a fiscal conservative and proponent of volunteerism I strongly believe that volunteerism can be implemented to keep community costs reasonable. I will consider individuals on fixed incomes by practicing fiscal responsibility. With no business or any other agenda, my goal as a Councilor will be to listen objectively, as I care deeply about the town of Bedford and its residents. The future of Bedford is very important to me as it is to all of you, the residents.

I ask for your vote on March 12, 2019 (at the Bedford High School from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) to allow me to continue to serve the people of Bedford.

Sincerely,
Denise Ricciardi
Candidate for Town Council
